Ciena needed a single-vendor solution that would specifically support strong reporting capabilities, customizable email notifications, payment processing, incentives, and the ability to manage both request-based and partner-allocated funding styles for their MDF program.

The Solution

The Ansira Edge Technology SuiteTM was the ideal solution to help Ciena transform the overall user experience for their partners. The Channel Funds Management module provided partners with an automated global platform that supports both request-based and partner-based funding, along with new features such as extensive reporting, automated notifications and global payment support that greatly enhanced the partner experience. In addition, Ciena also implemented their rewards program within the module which gave partners a scalable, central location with global support to not only manage their MDF spend, but also provide a multi-language and multi-currency eCommerce catalog powered by a points system and segmented by country.

Results

Within the first six months of launch, Ciena saw a 60% increase in submitted requests and 75% in funding approved. In addition, there was a 6% increase in partner-redeemed points just 24 hours after launch. Overall, Ansira’s solution boosted visibility and tracking of requests and claims, improved workload efficiency, and created a centralized location for multiple partner programs.
